A real fire is the perfect companion during winter, and many are opting for solid fuel stoves over gas or open fires. Modern high-efficiency stoves produce more heat, helping offset rising gas costs. There’s also satisfaction in splitting wood and enjoying the view through the large windows on many models. Many stoves are so efficient they can be used in smokeless zones—just look for DEFRA approved or Ecodesign ready if you live in one.
Certain products must meet minimum energy efficiency standards, known as Ecodesign requirements, to reduce their environmental impact throughout their lifecycle.

Based in St. Werburghs, Bristol, we are a small team with 15 years of experience fitting wood and solid fuel burners. Fully insured and HETAS registered, we provide expert advice on stove selection and installation. We handle all necessary building work, typically completing installations in a day or two.

THE PROCESS
After we respond to your enquiry, we’ll arrange a free site visit to discuss your needs and provide a quote.
If building work is required, we’ll handle that first, taking precautions to protect your home from dust with dust sheets and extraction. We recommend installing a flexible stainless steel flue liner for safety and efficiency, as it ensures a gas-tight flue and improves stove performance. The liner is installed via the chimney, and in some cases, scaffolding may be needed.
Once the liner is in place, we’ll mount the stove, connect it to the flue, install a carbon monoxide detector, and test the appliance. You’ll receive a HETAS certificate, and you’re all set!
